Monochrome in Mauve

I’ve been on a major mauve kick lately. It’s pink, but it’s a more neutral earth tone that pairs well with beige and gold accents. These high-waisted shorts make for a charming statement piece on those sunny summer days.

Despite a reluctant spring, we’re finally getting to shorts weather. A pair of high-waisted shorts can class up an outfit, while also being functional for those June days. I love these shorts because they are made from Terado – a Japanese fabric that is matte crepe on the outside and satin on the inside – which doesn’t restrict movement and isn’t fussy or too delicate.

Add a few beige pieces and some shiny pumps. Accent this with some pretty little gold jewelry and a leather clutch that ties the gold in, and you’re ready for your summer debut.
