The Top That Sold Me on the Crochet Lace Trend

I confess, it took some time for me to be on board with the crochet lace trend, mostly because it felt antiquated – it conjured up hippy festival dress fails and reminded me of the doily my great grandmother put under her fish tank. But this Josephine crochet top from my new favorite boutique shop, Vici Collective, made me a believer.

It’s a free-spirited statement piece that goes where your grandmother never did, without leaving behind the elegance and sophistication it formerly lent. Paired with a nude leotard (under the shirt) and Vici split ankle jeans, this outfit is the perfect elegant-meets-casual look. You can even add some slacks to class it up for work. Also, I’m in love with this Marc Jacob’s bag, which my husband teases spends more time with me than he does.
